Back Story & Wine Information

We nurture the vast, micro-climate soil pockets of Stellenzicht to steward and sustain what nature provides each year. Our wines truly are expressions of our terroir. The first owner of Stellenzicht in 1692 created a legacy of over 300 years of winemaking excellence. Since its revival in 2017, Stellenzicht has honoured its legacy by continuing to allow its ancient soil to produce its distinct terroir-driven wines which appeals to both the old-school wine lovers and those who enjoy the more New World style.

Pairing
Lamb: This is a classic pairing for Cinsault, with the wine's acidity and fruit cutting through the richness of the lamb. Beef: Enjoy with various beef dishes, including rich stews like beef bourguignon. Game: Pair with game meats like venison or rabbit. Vegetables: The wine works well with vegetable dishes. Other food pairings Hard cheeses: A good match for hard cheeses. Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine: The wine's fruitiness is a great complement to the spices in these dishes. Escargot: A classic pairing for red Cinsault. Chocolate and raspberry: The wine is specifically paired with a white chocolate truffle with raspberry filling at the winery, making this a great dessert option.
