Back Story & Wine Information

“TMV estate” refers to the former Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards, a South African winery known for its organic, holistic farming practices and the innovative use of social media to document its creation. The “red story” is primarily associated with their highly-regarded red wines, particularly the red blend and Syrah. The Story of TMV Estate (Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards) Pioneering Project: TMV was a groundbreaking project in the early 2000s, notable for building anticipation and a following through a lively blog that shared the story of the vineyard’s conception and creation over several years before the first harvest.

Pairing
Meat & Poultry: Grilled or roasted red meats: Steak, beef sirloin, and lamb loin chops are classic choices, as the wine's tannins cut through the richness of the meat. Braised dishes: Dishes like oxtail, beef tongue, or a hearty green bean stew (boontjie bredie) are excellent partners for the wine's intense flavors. Venison: The rich, gamey flavor of venison pie or braised venison pairs well with the wine's spicy notes. Pork: Roasted pork or sticky spare ribs with BBQ sauce can also be a good match.
