The Doringbay Sauvignon Blanc, a crisp and fresh white wine with tropical fruit, grassy, and minerally notes, pairs well with light dishes that echo its coastal character.

Back Story & Wine Information

Doring Bay is the home location for the Fryer’s Cove Winery. The actual winery is perched on the jetty that juts into the cold South Atlantic Ocean. The unique winery building is an old Crayfish factory, and our winery, as far as we know is the only winery built on the sea in the world!

Pairing
Seafood: This wine is excellent with delicate fish like sole and a natural partner for oysters, prawns, and other lightly cooked shellfish. Cheese: It makes a classic pairing with various cheeses, especially tangy ones like goat's cheese and feta. Green Vegetables: The wine's herbaceous notes complement green vegetables such as asparagus, zucchini, fresh peas, and artichokes. Salads & Vinaigrettes: The acidity of the wine works well with salads, particularly those featuring mild or tangy vinaigrettes, fresh herbs, and ingredients like avocado or fresh tomatoes.
