More Information - Afrikaans Vol. VIII Red Bland
Afrikaans is a wine born from conversation. Created to celebrate a language rich in warmth, rhythm, and poetry, it’s made to be shared rather than explained. Each bottle invites connection—around a table, over a meal, between friends. Approachable, expressive, and quietly thoughtful, Afrikaans is as much about stories as it is about wine.
Back Story & Wine Information
Afrikaans Vol. VIII is a premium South African wine series from The Stellenbosch Collection, owned by Jean Engelbrecht. The “backstory” of this specific, limited-release range is defined by its commitment to showcasing Stellenbosch terroir, using unique varietal blends, and honoring the Afrikaans language through literature.
Each vintage is released as a new “Volume,” acting as a storyteller. The back label of every bottle features an original poem titled My Taal—My Language, with a different South African artist contributing a new voice for each release.
